Nothing happened pre-show worth writing about. Unless you count us laughing and pointing at an intern for absolutely no reason.
6am - More tickets were doled out for Stan Helsing and Nightmare: Vampire Haunted House. More laughing was directed at an intern. Again, for no real reason.
7am - The "Wheel of Matt Pinfield's iPod" was "spun," and one lucky listener won a pair of tickets to see Pearl Jam at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. She was so excited, she threw up. To distract ourselves from the act of disgusting bodily function, we laughed at an intern.
Mr. Michael Ness of Social Distortion fame once again spoke with Matt & Leslie. And once again, all the women in the station melted. There was no jealousy from me today, though. Waking up late, foregoing a shower, and waltzing into work with greasy hair, a filthy white t-shirt covered in toothpaste, and dirty fingernails, I didn't need the attention.
8am - The Wheel, aka Nathaniel Rateliff, performed in-studio. His white t-shirt was almost as filthy as mine. This made me feel better, and oddly, instilled a sense of pride over mine being worse. You can watch the video of Nathaniel's performance on RXP TV.
9am - Matt went through his cell phone and randomly picked a number to call, which today happened to be that of Vincent D'onofrio from Law & Order Criminal Intent. Deep down, I was secretly hoping he'd be annoyed by the unexpected call and would yell at Matt (conflict makes for good radio), but Vincent was excited to join the show.
Please don't tell anyone about my disturbing thoughts.
The band A Million Years playing live in-studio for Local Licks. This video, too, can be seen on RXP TV.
