Amazing. Right guys?

6am - Today's show was amazing, wasn't it?  Especially for a Monday, which are always the hardest shows to do.  I was out of town all weekend shooting with MTV, so I was pretty tired getting home, though I did eat a Marie Callender's Beef Tips in Mushroom Sauce with Roasted Potatoes, Green Beans & Cranberries frozen dinner when I walked in, which hit the spot and helped allievated some of the pressure I was feeling about today's big broadcast.  I used to work for MTV.  Do you remember 120 Minutes?  Man, that was great.

Anyway, we started the show with the news.  There's such much going on.  It's crazy, isn't it?

Today's "Stump Matt Pinfield" was quite the challenge.  The question:  "What happened to the composer and keyboard virtuoso that contributed the original music to the soundtrack for the movie 'A Clockwork Orange'"?

Answer:  He had a sex change.

7am - One of my favorite times of the day is when we get to spin my iPod.  With so many songs on it, there are some I haven't heard in years.  It's always to be surprised.  Today's song for the hour was The Clash - "Hateful."  That's such a great song, isn't it?  What's even better is that a listener won a pair of tickets to see Bon Jovi perform on The Today Show.  Bon Jovi's great.

Leslie and I chatted with Nils Lofgren of The E Street Band.  I love that guy.  He has amazing stories to tell.  I can't wait to talk to him again tomorrow.  He'll be joining us all week.  Today he talked about being only 18 years old and befriending Neil Young and playing in Crazy Horse.

8am - As promised, we spun the wheel of my iPod again for 311 tickets.  Landing on The Doors and "The Unkown Soldier," we were all in for a listening treat.

We took your calls in a radio free-for-all.  I really love talking with you guys, and I'm so appreciative of your support.  Without you, the show is nothing, so please know that you are what makes it great.  We really do love you.

9am - I'm very excited about our holiday concert with David Gray, Pete Yorn and Company of Thieves.  That's a classic line-up, don't you think?  You can purchase tickets at LiveNation.com, or listen to RXP all week to win tickets.  We gave away a pair this morning.  Carol Palnech got the pair, but there will be plenty of other chances to win.  I look forward to seeing you at the show on December 6th.  It's going to be unbelievable.
