6am – Matt and Leslie welcomed everyone to the show by talking about Vincent D’Onofrio presents Geronimo Gerkie last night at Joe’s Pub. Matt Atchity from Rotten Tomatoes called in to the Rock Show to tell us about Angelina Jolie’s new film Salt. Leslie does the news and tells the homeowner who was charged after tackling a ding-dong ditcher to sick Mel Gibson on those pesky kids. She also mentioned that cutbacks in Newark are so severe, the city has cut toilet paper out of their budget. The Empire strikes Bank as a bank robber wielded a gun instead of a lightsaber while wearing a Darth Vader mask. Mel Gibson’s plight was once again a topic of discussion.

7am – Matt spun his iPod and “Don’t Stay Home” by 311. Matt and Leslie talk about “iDosing,” a way of getting high digitally, by listening to some funky sounds. iDosing tracks have names like “God’s Pain” and “Gates of Hades.” Leslie compared the Bouquet Bandit and the Darth Vader bank robber.

8am – Matt spun the iPod once again and Morrissey’s “Tomorrow” came up. Matt announces and congratulates Leslie on being nominated for the National Radio Hall of Fame and encourages everyone to go to the website to vote for her.

9am – Matt graced the airwaves with his presence and the presence of the great playlist known as Spinfield. He played Sublime’s “Doin’ Time,” the Beasitie Boys’ “So What’cha Want,” “Home” by Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, “She” by Green Day, and Iggy Pop’s “Lust for Life.” Spinfield continued with “Seven Nation Army” by White Stripes, The Killer’s hit “Somebody Told Me,” and the Clash’s classic rendition of the Sonny Curtis song “I Fought the Law.” Those songs were followed up by Soundgarden’s “My Wave,” “It’s the End of the World As We Know It” by R.E.M., “Guerilla Radio” by Rage Against the Machine, and the Bowie classic “Jean Genie.” Matt closed the Spinfield set with Pearl Jam’s State of Love and Trust.”
