6am – Matt Pinfield will be covering the Black Keys show today on Central Park’s SummerStage and Leslie Fram will be hosting Experience Next, a free event, with local band Locksley at Williamsburg’s Brooklyn Bowl tonight. The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan talked about blacking out on stage in an exclusive RXP interview. Leslie kicked off the morning news with an update on Al Gore’s sexual assault accusations, what will happen to George Steinbrenner’s millions, and the excavation of an 18th century ship found near ground zero.

7am – Another listener won front row tickets to see MGMT and Matt’s iPod spun Cracker’s “Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now).” Leslie gave another news update informing us that Madison Square Garden received NYC’s worst health code violation, our city is seeking a bed bug czar to control the current epidemic, a 12-year-old girl called the cops on her drunk driving mom, a $7 million settlement has been reached in the police killing of Sean Bell, and President Obama is in NJ today discussing the economy.

8am – Billy Corgan disclosed to Leslie and Matt how he discovered his current 20-year-old drummer and the Smashing Pumpkins played a live acoustic version of their hit, “Today.”

9am – Original Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler was on the Morning Show promoting his new book, My Appetite for Destruction: Sex, Drugs, and Guns N’ Roses.
