6am – Matt Pinfield will be covering the Black Keys show today on Central Park’s SummerStage and Leslie Fram will be hosting Experience Next, a free event, with local band Locksley at Williamsburg’s Brooklyn Bowl tonight. The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan talked about blacking out on stage in an exclusive RXP interview. Leslie kicked off the morning news with an update on Al Gore’s sexual assault accusations, what will happen to George Steinbrenner’s millions, and the excavation of an 18th century ship found near ground zero.

6am – Matt and Leslie ushered in the Morning Show with news of rats living, nesting and mating in the city’s MetroCard machines. Leslie informed us that thousands are without power from this weekend’s storms, ARod is fine after being hit by a fastball, a leaked military report revealed Pakistan’s support of the Taliban, and BP chief Tony Hayward is stepping down.
7am – Matt’s iPod spun out “Mr. Brownstone” by Guns N’ Roses this hour after one of our listeners won tickets to MGMT at Radio City Music Hall on August 18th. Dee Snyder was on promoting his new show, “Growing Up Twisted.”
8am – Another winner of MGMT tickets spun Matt’s iPod with REM’s “What’s the Frequency Kenneth?” In music news, Leslie and Matt told us about a new Bush album due out later this year, a Kings of Leon concert that was cut short because of excessive ...

6am – Matt and Leslie welcomed everyone to the show by talking about Vincent D’Onofrio presents Geronimo Gerkie last night at Joe’s Pub. Matt Atchity from Rotten Tomatoes called in to the Rock Show to tell us about Angelina Jolie’s new film Salt. Leslie does the news and tells the homeowner who was charged after tackling a ding-dong ditcher to sick Mel Gibson on those pesky kids. She also mentioned that cutbacks in Newark are so severe, the city has cut toilet paper out of their budget. The Empire strikes Bank as a bank robber wielded a gun instead of a lightsaber while wearing a Darth Vader mask. Mel Gibson’s plight was once again a topic of discussion.
7am – Matt spun his iPod and “Don’t Stay Home” by 311. Matt and Leslie talk about “iDosing,” a way of getting high digitally, by listening to some funky sounds. iDosing tracks ...
